Baptism: Infant baptisms are held one Sunday a month. There are no baptisms during Lent. The baptism ceremony begins during the 12:30 p.m. Mass. To schedule an interview for a baptism, please call the parish office at 714-774-2595 at least three months in advance. Pre-baptism classes for parents and godparents are held once a month. Preparation for adult baptism is available through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. To schedule a baptism in Spanish, call Sacred Heart Mission at 714-821-3133. Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are on Saturdays from 3:30-5:00 p.m. (English/Spanish). Penance Services are held twice a year, during Advent and Lent. Eucharist: Children who wish to receive their First Holy Communion must complete a two year Religious Education program through the parish school or School of Religious Education. Adults wishing to receive the sacrament must take the preparation classes available through RCIA. For information on the RCIA program call 714-774-2595. Our Eucharistic Ministers also offer distribution of the Eucharist to those hospitalized, sick, or home-bound parishioners. Confirmation: High school students who wish to receive the sacrament of Confirmation must complete a two year Religious Education program through the School of Religious Education. Marriage: Those interested in marriage in the Catholic Church must contact the parish office at 714-774-2595 to make an appointment to see a priest or deacon. Arrangements must be made at least six months in advance. Sacrament of the Sick: This sacrament is available for anyone preparing for major surgery, seriously ill, or for medical emergencies. It is God's promise in the midst of our serious physical difficulties. Anointing of the Sick is also held during the 8:30 a.m. Mass on the first Saturday of each month. Holy Orders: Four St. Justin Martyr men have received the sacrament of Holy Orders. One is currently in the seminary, studying to become a priest.
